| MCU Councillors raise voice of dissent against president | | |  Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, June 21: Majority of the Councillors of Municipal Council Udhampur (MCU) have raised their voice of dissent against president MCU Dr Yogeshwar Gupta.
While addressing a press conference here today, Sunil Proach Councillor Ward No 2 said that few days back President MCU has stated in media that some councillors were creating hurdles in his way to work for Udhampur.
Sunil Proach alleged that president MCU Dr Yogeshwar Gupta is befooling the people of Udhampur to hide his failure adding that if something like that is going on in MCU then president should also reveal the names of the Councillors as well as the names of developmental works which he will going to start in Udhampur otherwise Dr Gupta should resign on moral grounds, he added.
Alleging lack of co-ordination among president MCU and councilors, Sunil Proach informed that majority of councillors of his party are also opposing the arrogant behaviour of the president MCU.
He disclosed that a letter has been also sent in this connection to the Director Urban Local Bodies with signatures of majority of Councillors.
Councillors Samnik Bhasin, Asha Devi, Jagdish Kumar and Darshan Kumar were also present during the press conference. |
