After brief encounter in Keshwan, LeT militants mange escape

Kishtwar, June 21: The militants of Lashker e Toiba believed to be trapped in an encounter in Keshwan forest in Kishtwar District have reportedly managed escape after brief encounter with the police.
As per the details available with "Early Times", on the bases of the specific inputs given by the local people about the presence of Lashker Militant Jamal Din who is active in the Keshwan belt, some 45 KM from District Headquarter Kishtwar, the Police launched a search and cordon operation in Nagnigard forest area of Keshwan and established a contact with the militants at around 3.30 PM, Friday in which one militant believe to be Jamal Din received bullet injury, but he manged to give a slip to the police with the help of other accomplice.
The sources told the "Early Times" that police party found the blood stains in the forest area including on the stones which suggested that the trapped militant was injured in the encounter.
Following the brief exchange of fire, army and extra forces have been rush to the spot and the search operation is on in the area.
The other militant who accompanied the local LeT militant Jamal Din is said to be Masood Ahmed resident of Manjmie Dessa active since 21-8-2018, his brother is said to be an active militant of Hizbul Mujadeen, presently settled in Pakistan.
The sources said that the encounter took place around 150 meters away from the hideout busted by the Police and Army a fortnight ago.
It is pertinent to mention that only few days ago, the local people helped the police in tracking down the suspected militant who released the video with their weapons.
The sources said that one of them is a close associate of a local RTI activist turned contractor.
