POONCH, July 1: Poonch, Corruption in Muncipal Council Poonch has increased at an alarming rate since long and the concerned seem unaware of the matter.
Reports said the authorities alloted many construction works without inviting tenders to some blue eyed contractors. Reports added many ongoing construction works in Poonch are alloted to some blue eyed and people close to officers in Poonch Distt Admistration". Advocate Sunil Sharma, the chairman of Poonch Muncipality while accusing the authorities said, "officers are working under some unknown pressure and don't aware public representatives of what is going around.
He expressed anguish over the system of Poonch MC office wo ndering who was running the office. Officials of the said department have no respect for rules, he said. He has appealed to Governor Satya Pal Malik to conduct inquiry of the matter and make an audit team to check the official record of Muncipality office Poonch.
