| DLSA Udhampur organizes Skill Development Programme | | |  Early Times Report
Udhampur, July 1: The District Legal Services Authority Udhampur today organized a Skill Development Programme for drop-out children at Block Development Office Udhampur. The programme was held under the Chairmanship of Secretary District Legal Services Authority Sandeep Kour. Besides others, Block Development Officer Udhampur Ram Pal was also present on the said occasion. In the programme the children were given training of different skills during the programme so that they could be absorbed in private sector and could earn their livelihood. Secretary District Legal Services Authority also distributed uniform kits to the drop-out students/trainees. Speaking on the occasion, Secretary District Legal Services Authority said that the aimed to provide skill development training is not just to empower youth for jobs but to create entrepreneurship, opportunities for youths in agriculture and allied activities and traditional crafts of state. She added that stress should be given also on inclusion of differently able youths for such trainings also. She further added that the aim of this programme is to encourage drop-out students by giving them vocational trainings. She added that such programmes will be held in near future also. |
