One arrested for wrong confinement, beating of man in Rajouri

Jammu, July 1: Police on Monday arrested a person and booked some others for allegedly keeping a man in illegal confinement and beating him mercilessly in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
SSP Rajouri Yugal Manhas said that the incident came to fore on Monday morning, when a video went viral on social media and it was seen in the video that a middle aged man had been kept in wrongful confinement by some people who are beating him mercilessly. He said that soon after the matter came to fore, District Police Office Rajouri started investigation during which it was found that video had been filmed in a village of Nowshera.
A special team of police headed by SDPO Nowshera Brijesh Sharma and SHO Nowshera Mohammad Amin was was constituted.
During investigation by the said team, it came to fore that the victim of the incident is Dalmir son of Mohammad Sadiq resident of Rani Badetar Androoth and has been beaten by one Mohammad Mansha and some others resident of Nowshera.
It also came to fore that accused kept victim in wrongful confinement, tied him with rope and beat him mercilessly.
A case FIR 117/2019 U/S 341,342,323 RPC has now been registered in Nowshera police station and four persons have been booked who include Mohd Sabar son of Abdullah resident of Rani Badatar, Mohammad Mansha son of Mohammad Yaqoob resident of Daryala Dabbar, Mohammad Shabeer son of Mohammad Farooq resident of Daryala Dabbar and Naseer Begun wife of Mohammad Mansha resident of Durrani Batta.
The main accused namely Mohammad Mansha has also been arrested when he was trying to escape from bus stand Nowshera whereas manhaunt has been launched to arrest the other accused persons.
