| People stage protest against PDD | | | Early Times Report
VIJAYPUR, July 25: The residents of Jallochak area of Bari Brahmana today staged a strong protest against the Power Development Department in front of XEn office Vijaypur in district Samba.
The protest held under the leadership of Ex Sarpanch Jaspal Singh while Rajan Sharma councilor of ward no 2 Vijaypur was also present on this occasion.
A large number of residents including male and female of Village Jallochak area of Bari Brahmana today assembled in front of the XEN office Vijaypur. Shouting slogans against the officers of the department, the protesters alleged that the department has failed to exchange the transformer of the village due to which the people are facing lot of troubles during the hot and humid weather conditions.
They warned if the department did not install a new transformer then they will come on roads to lodge a strong protest against the department.
Later, the protesters they met with the XEN, who listened to their grievances and assured them that the problem will be resolved as soon as possible. |
