'A blot on BJP's Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas claim'

Early Times Report
Jammu, July 25: Road in our area was washed away in 2016 and the drivers of school buses avoid to enter the area as it is difficult for even vehicles to move over this path, say residents of Raza Colony and Chacha Chowk of Raika Panchayat of Gandhi Nagar Constituency. The residents want deep drain and road.
Angry with their Ex-MLA, Kavinder Gupta who visited the area once that too for political purpose, they said non-seriousness of the local leaders needs to be brought into the notice of Prime Minister.
The locals Haji Abdul Rashid, Sheraz Ali, Ahmed Razak, Imarn, Bashir Ahmed, Sushil Kumar, Marazdin, Mehdi Hassan, M K Khan, Gyan Singh, Mahinder Pal Singh and others said that heavy flood due to ongoing rainy season have had an impact on retaining wall along the nullah which collapsed. The gushing water has weakened the foundation of their houses. But unfortunately, the administration is not taking care of it.
"Our area does not fall under Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), but the authorities at Satwari Block do not heed our sufferings", they said, adding that due to flood boulders have come to path-a road constructed in 2014 that was washed away in 2016.
"Our children read in various schools, but the school buses drop them for away since the drivers avoid to enter the area without road", they said, adding that in case of emergency, the area goes out of bounds in rainy season.
At some place sewerage line was laid six months ago, but the concerned agency didn't bother to blacktop the road. "It is very strange and even contrary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's claim Sabka Sath Sabka Vikash, as the local leaders do not visit their respective areas and hold meeting with locals", they said, adding that they have a lot to share but unfortunately, nobody visits their area.
