Jammu, July 28: The One Week faculty development programme (FDP)- cum-Workshop on 'Personality development and Communication skills' concluded with the Valedictory today at GDC Udhampur, wherein Dr. Piyush Singhla, District Development Commissioner Udhampur Was the Chief Guest and Miss Sana Khan, Distt. Social Welfare Officer was the Special Guest. Speaking on the occasion the Chief guest Dr. Piyush Singhla applauded the innovative and out-of - box approach of the College Principal and the Organizers from the Department of English for such kind of programmes. He was of the view that today is the time to bring all stakeholders on one platform to bring academic and social excellence and for that the continual training of the faculty and the students is very necessary. He was happy that the "College is taking lead to start first of the kind programmes in the State". The Special Guest Sana Khan meticulously spoke about the need of having programmes on Personality Development and Communication to have a smarter and prepared human resource for the society and the nation. Prior to this the Principal, Prof. ( Dr.) Nutan K. Resutra welcomed all the guests, wherein he informed all present about the programme and the participants, who had come to participate in it from all over the state. He also informed all present about the forthcoming national and international events in the college. |
