7/28/2019 11:54:06 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, July 28: Fissures in Mehbooba Mufti's Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) came on the fore on Sunday many prominent leaders skipped the 20th raising day functions at Jammu and Srinagar.
Function at Jammu was a low key event because party leadership was very much aware of the fact that people will not come for the function. First time in its 20 year history, PDP celebrated its foundation function in the office. Earlier party used to organize same event with much funfare either outside the office or at some other big venue. Some founder members of the party were conspicuous absent in the function. Former Rajya Sabha member Trilok Singh Bajwa and party's only MLC from Jammu province were prominent figures who skipped the event.
Situation was also same in Srinagar event for which party leadership has utilized all its resources.
One of the founder of the party Muzaffar Hussain Baigh and many senior leaders were conspicuously absent in the function. And most importantly both the Rajya Sabha members of the party were also not present in the event.
