Modi opposes hate campaign initiated by vested interests to thwart development of Kashmir
7/30/2019 11:35:59 PM
Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has stated that those spreading hate in Kashmir are opposed to the development of the valley when the BJP led NDA Government wants to rebuild its economy. Modi further stated that the valley would assume the importance of Switzerland but for the incidents of violence in the valley these incidents have deprived the valley from becoming the world famous tourist resort. And the state unit of the BJP has made it clear that it is in favour of revoking Article 370 and Article 35-A. However the state unit of the BJP would face the voters in the ensuing Assembly elections which it wants to be held as soon as possible.
The BJP's Jammu and Kashmir core group called here on , with top party leaders, including its chief Amit Shah, to discuss political atmosphere and party's preparedness for assembly elections whenever they are held, The likely presence of Modi and Shah in the meeting is significant and hints at the party gearing up for the state assembly elections, whose schedule will be finalised by the Election Commission after it receives a go-ahead from the central and state governments on law and order situation.
Union minister Jitendra Singh, BJP general secretary Ram Madhav and its state unit president Ravinder Raina and other senior leaders from the state will attend the meeting besides the party's national working president JP Nadda. Earlier, Madhav, who is the party's points man for Jammu and Kashmir, had urged the Election Commission to hold polls in the state this year. Actually the state unit of the BJP wants the Assembly elections to be held in November this year and the central party leadership is keen to meet senior leaders of the state unit of the BJP to secure their preparedness of the party while facing the electorate. The National Conference and the PDP too oppose delay in holding the elections. But the BJP wishes to prepare schemes for the development of the state which would help the state in getting into a model state in India. That is why Modi has suggested to people of Kashmir to oppose hate campaign initiated by some political leaders including the separatists to help the centre in developing the valley into a world famous tourist resort.
