Despite transfer, doctor still holding post at SMGS hospital Jammu

JAMMU, July 30: Despite transferred and posted at different place, the doctor, who was posted at Shri Maharaja Gulab Singh (SMGS) Hospital, is still holding the previous post and securing the interest of an influential doctor allegedly.
As per government order no 683 HME of 2019, dated 17-07-2019, five doctors were transferred and posted different places but after passing 15 days of transfers, the doctor was not relieved by the concerned authority and allow him to serve where he has been posted.
If sources are to be believed, the said doctor is close to a senior and an influential doctor allegedly and that's why the government order is not being implemented so far. And same the person has kept the previous post and it appears that he doesn't want to leave the post.
"It is completing against the transfer policy of the state the government that if someone has been transferred one place to another in the interest of administration or patients' care, he or she has to compile the the government order," sources stated, adding that a message is being circulated among other transferee doctors that the government order is merely eyewash.
Sources added that it is the responsibility of the head of the institute to comply with the government order for streamline the functioning but they failed to do so. Now it is the department's job to implement the order.
