Jammu, Aug 10: Yuva Rajput Sabha demanded statehood for Jammu region along with domicile and Article 371 on the pattern of Himachal Pradesh.
Addressing media persons, President Surinder Singh Gill said that Union Territory (UT) status to Jammu and Kashmir is not acceptable to the public of Jammu province. YRS welcome the decision of scraping Article 370 and abrogation of Article 35 A.
"We also welcome the decision of making Ladakh a UT, but downgrading of Jammu and Kashmir is not acceptable", Gilli said, adding that the Union Government has not taken into consideration the sentiments of Dogras and leaders of Jammu while preparing the architecture of Jammu and Kashmir.
