UDHAMPUR, Aug 10 : To finalize arrangements for celebration of Independence Day function 2019, a meeting of district officers of different departments was held under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Dr. Piyush Singla, here today.
Threadbare discussion was held on various arrangements like seating, barricading, security, traffic regulation, drinking water and power supply, sanitation, first-aid, deployment of buses and fire-tenders etc.
It was decided in the meeting that the main function would be held at Govt. PG Degree College for Boys, Udhampur where the VIP would hoist the National flag at 9 A.M. The contingents drawn from Police, NCC and schools would participate in the march past. It was also decided that District Information Centre, Udhampur shall play Shehnai Vadan from 5.30 AM to 6.30 A.M. in Deputy Commissioner's Office Complex and DIC Office, Udhampur.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC directed the concerned departments to adopt coordinated approach in ensuring the arrangements pertaining to their respective departments well in advance. He also called upon the officers and employees of all departments to remain present on the day of function.
DDC also directed ACD to aware the PRIs to host the National flag in all panchayats.
Among others, Additional District Development Commissioner, Ashok Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Gurvinderjeet Singh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Viqar Giri, DIO, Er. Sajad Bashir Somberia and other district heads of various departments were present in the meeting. |
