Mayor JMC kickstarts work of JMC Cattle Pound, Goushalla

JAMMU, Aug 26: Mayor JMC Chander Mohan Gupta has started the work of providing / Fixing of Chain Link fencing of JMC Cattle Pound/Goushalla at Seri Khurd, Nagrota, Jammu in presence of Adv. Purnima Sharma Deputy Mayor JMC and others
During the occasion, Commissioner, JMC briefly explains the layout of cattle pound/Goushalla to e Mayor, Deputy Mayor JMC and others dignites present there. Commissioner, JMC said that we are going to construct the best Cattle Pound/Goushalla in Jammu which is going to be the role model in India, before this JMC has deputed the Officers Joint Commissioner (Works) and Municipal Veterinary Officer, JMC for survey the goushallas in India and seen the best practice there. In the Ist Phase we will incorporate the facilities like Rain water harvesting, sprinkling cow bath, harvesting landless fodder, Vermi Compositing, Bio Gas, Vermi Wash, Cow Ark, Phenyl from Cow urine, Agarbati , wood from cow dung, solar panel energy, Hospital, Temple, Walking track 8ft. wide. Capacity of Animals are Quarantine ward = 34 Cows, Isolation ward = 23 cows, Bulls= 80,Cows =120, Calves =100,Total= 357 Animals capacity. The fencing work of 4KM which covers Cost of Rs.54.75 lakhs in the Ist instance.
Commissioner, JMC assure that to develop a Modern sustainable JMC Cattle pound/Goushalla. For this JMC will control the menace of stray cattles in JMC limits, control the illegal dairies in JMC limits, control the cruelty of animals and to control the accidents of sick/injured stray animals as well as human lives. On the occasion all the dignities have planted the trees there and Mayor JMC has instructed to do the maximum plantation at the site.
Thereafter, Deputy Mayor JMC visited the another site of JMC at Nagrota along with Commissioner, JMC. JMC has 75 Kanals of land there. They discussed to develop the land for the public and the revenue purpose of JMC. The officers of JMC were present on this occasion S. Jaspal Singh, Joint Commissioner (Works), Dr. Saleem Khan, Health Officer, JMC, Dr. Zaffar Iqbal, MVO JMC, Mohit Kumar Executive Engineer (Central) JMC, Arun Gupta Executive Engineer (T) JMC, AEE's, JE's and others officers/officials of JMC.
