People's grievances remains unaddressed due to lack of Govt: DCC Rural

JAMMU, Aug 26: District Congress Committee Jammu Rural raised serious concern over the problems being faced by the people of Raipur Domana Constituency.
In the meeting held here on Monday, Hari Singh Chib, President DCC Rural Jammu said that grievances of people are being unheard due to absence of government in the Jammu and Kashmir.
Chib said that the people of Raipur Domana Constituency are facing problems of all sorts while no one from the administration has turned to them despite repeated requests. He said that the whole constituency lacks basic amenities as there is no electricity and no water supply besides dilapidated road conditions in the area. He mentioned that the inner roads of the constituency are in shambles.
Chib said that the cremation ground in Village Raipur is in shambles right now due to pathetic approach and policies of district administration. He said that the authorities are in deep slumbers as none has time to take stock of the facilities being provided to the people visiting there. More so, no water is available in the whole premises to wash hands and face as part of Hindu rituals, he added. He mentioned that despite taking up the matter with the authorities concerned nothing has been done till date which shows the casual approach of the authorities sitting at the helm of the affairs.
"The district administration has been failed to provide basic amenities to the people of Jammu in general and Raipur Domana constituency in particular," he said.
"Nowadays a drizzle of rain inundates the city hence deflating the tall claims of administration on the development of Jammu. People suffering due to the shortage of drinking water as the taps are running dry. The women in particular are finding it difficult to run their kitchen due to shortage of drinking water," he said.
Chib urged the Governor-led administration to direct the concerned officers for the redressal of the same and take adequate measure to take our issues into consideration to mitigate the sufferings of the people residing Raipur Domana constituency.
Those who were present in the meeting included Jatinder Bhagat, Kuldeep Kumar, Kamal Singh, Baiskhi Singh, Nirmal Singh, Prem Singh Chib, Capt Balwan Singh, Ajaib Singh, Dalip Singh, Jagdish Raj, Babu Khan, Chamel Singh, Ashwani Kumar, Sudagar Saini, Darshan Mehra, Ch Mohinder, Jung Bahadur Sharma, Devi Singh, Ravinder Singh and Ch Mohan Singh.
