We have been living under constant threat as Pakistan resorts to indiscriminate firing and mortor shelling very often and that too on thickly populated civilian areas falling close to LoC and farward areas in the district, the locals said while talking to Early Times.
The people who receive serious injuries during the cross border shelling need a bullet proof ambulances to shift them to hospital for treatment besides establishment of a Trauma hospital was the need of the hour in the area said a group of people from Balakot sector to Early Times.
Several politicians, ministers and other dignitaries felt this demand of locals a justified one, but only assurances and nothing in practical was done in this regard.
We put up this issue with district administration a number of times but our pleas fall to deaf ears they further said, adding we appeal to Governor Satya Pal Malik to look personally into the need of border people especially Balakot, Mankot and Mandi sectors living close to LoC, be provided with Trauma hospital with bullet proof ambulance facility to facilitate cross border shelling victims during border skirmishes in the district.
