CEO Rajouri initiates inquiry on cracked school building

Rajouri, Sept 24: Taking cognizance of the report published in the Early Times, CEO Rajouri initiated inquiry by constituting committee over the issue of school building which developed cracks.
The news items which published on September 21's Edition of Early Times under the title of "Newly constructed school building of GMS Nahoti develops cracks". CEO Rajouri set up committee including Principal Government Higher Secondary School Nowshera, AE, ZEO Lower Hathal which will inquire the issue and will submit report to CEO Rajouri.
An officer in Education Department on the condition of anonymity told Early Times that the school (GMS Nahoti) comes under ZEO Lower Hathal and question the

redibility of inquiry.
Pertinently, newly constructed building of Government Middle School Nahoti zone Lower Hathal in tehsil Sunderbani of district Rajouri has allegedly developed cracks due to substandard material used by the contractor. Astonishingly, the contractor is happened to be the Village Committee Member was given payment by the Education Officials without conducting proper inspection of the building before handing over of it. "The officials of education department, who had responsibility to ensure the proper construction under given norms didn't even bother to give a look at the building and the quality of the material used in its construction before making payment to the contractor," sources said.
