| Former Dir Information condemns Dr Abdullah's detention under PSA | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 24: Narinder Singh, former Director Information in a statement issued here today has strongly condemned and criticized the government action for detaining Dr Farooq Abdullah, a three times Chief Minister and parliamentarian, under Public Safety Act. He said that it looks very strange when our Prime Minister Narendra Modi during election rallies in Maharashtra talks about hugging Kashmiris and creating new paradise in the Valley but on one hand curfew like restrictions have been imposed in the valley besides scrapping internet services in whole of the state since 5th August after abrogating Article 370 and 35A while on the other hand leaders of the regional political parties have been arrested including Dr Farooq Abdullah. It becomes mockery if you impose PSA on the national leader just to justify his illegal detention by the government before the highest court of the country. Singh termed this action of the government as undemocratic adding that no one should doubt Abdullah's nationalistic approach because on many occasions he has asked the government to attack the militants camps in Pakistan occupied Kashmir and liberate and annex the area from their clutches. |
