| Official vehicles of MC Katra plying on road without registration number | | 'Rules for fools' | |  AB Sharma

reasi, Sept 27: Despite stringent rules brought in by Government of India against the traffic violators, around ten official vehicles of Municipal Committee Katra have been reportedly plying in and around Katra town of district Reasi without registration number.
Sources told Early Times that after introduction of new Motor Vehicles Act, the implementing agencies have taken tough stance against the general public but it forgets to take action against 10 official vehicles, which are openly running on road of Katra town without registration numbers.
"Although some of the vehicles seem to be brand new but the mandatory temporary numbers have not been pasted on the vehicles, which is a traffic violation. Astonishingly there is slip of Government of India pasted on them in the front glass of the vehicles to avoid any action," said sources.
Expressing strong resentment against the traffic police, the locals said that DTI Katra knows about this violation very well as these vehicles pass in front of him many times during the day time but he hesitates to take action. They appealed the Transport Commissioner and IG Jammu to take action against the officials of MC Katra and the traffic police officials who allow such violation. |
