Indian troops have initiated Operation Maa to get back those having joined militancy
11/6/2019 9:11:13 PM
Since majority of people in the Kashmir valley are ready to join militancy and take avenge of alleged human rights violations when Pakistan and its proxies are making every effort to revive terrorism in Kashmir Valley, the Indian Army's 'Operation Maa' has saved lives of about 50 Kashmiri youths who were radicalised and pushed towards militancy. Senior Army officials, engaged in counter-insurgency operations, revealed that although the Rashtriya Riffles, police and para-military forces had launched sustained anti-insurgency operations, the 'Operation Maa', planned by Kashmir-based 15 Army Corps, had saved several lives, which was being appreciated by families of youths, mainly stone-throwers. The operation, launched by the Army, on the directions of General Officer Commanding (GOC) of 15 Corps Lieutenant General Kanwal Jeet Singh Dhillon, undertook an exercise in the hunt for missing youths and approached their families. These missing youths had joined militancy and after being joined with their parents they were seen hugging their mothers. This indicates that the youth had been forced to join militancy and were seen lamenting their decisions. Army in Pakistan are active in resorting to ceasefire violations to push groups of militants into Kashmir for escalating the level of violence. And the new strategy is to woo Kashmir youth to join militant outfits. "A Number of boys have rejoined their families. Some encounters have ended up with a hug between a mother and a son as part of the efforts to save lives of young Kashmiris. This is part of strategy followed by the Pak Army they pay heavy money to the youth to join militant outfits. Since the majority of the youth in Kashmir are poor financial aid from Pakistan wins their hearts and are ready to join militancy. If the Pak Army succeeds in its mission the vale of Kashmir could become a harbouring centre for militants. This is the fear of the India troops and that is the reason that they have started Operation Ma to bring back those radicalised and are ready to measures muscles with the India security forces. This is the reason that the Indian Army have initiated Operation Maa.
