Early Times Report

JAMMU, Nov 6: Editor, Early Times, Munish Gupta, on Wednesday expressed dismay over many areas in Jammu being without basic amenities.
Carrying forward his mass contact programme in Shastri Nagar, Munish said, "It is unfortunate that the successive regimes ignored Jammu and its people during the past seventy years."
"The areas which I have visited during the past six months are without the basic amenities of life. These amenities are important for people to survive.
It is sad that no one has paid any attention towards the issues which touch the skin of a common man," said Munish, who would be contesting the forthcoming Assembly elections as an independent candidate from Gandhi Nagar constituency.
He said, "Sooner or later Assembly polls will be held in the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir but the people before casting their vote should ask their former representatives why they failed to live up to their expectations."
Munish said, "If I win the elections and reach the Legislative Assembly I assure my people that I won't let them down. I know people don't trust politicians as their trust has been breached again and again.
I urge the people to give me a chance to serve them so that we can together make a new beginning."
