Div Com reviews restoration process with railway officials, police, District Administration
Railway services to resume in Kashmir Valley from November 11

SRINAGAR, Nov 6: Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan today asked the Railway authorities to restore the train services in valley from next week.
He passed on this direction during the meeting with railway officials, Districts' Administration and police convened to discuss restoration of railway services in Kashmir.
The meeting was attended by IGP Kashmir zone, SSP Srinagar, SSP Railways, Additional Commissioner, Kashmir, ADC Srinagar, Chief Controller, Northern Railways, Senior Divisional Mechanical engineer, Northern railways and other concerned officials.
Besides, DC Baramulla, DC Anantnag, DC Pulwama, ADC Budgam, SSP Sopore, SSP Awantipora, SSP Pulwama, SSP Baramulla and SSP Budgam attended the meeting through video conferencing.
On the occasion, Div Com held a threadbare discussion with the officials and reviewed measures for restoring train service in the valley, which was suspended in August.
While asking the officials to make all arrangements for resuming train services, Div Com passed various instructions after the thorough discussion.
Div Com directed the Railway authorities to conduct a track inspection within three days, which will be followed by a trial run on November 10 and the resumption of services from November 11.
