GCW Parade hosts Quiz Competition, Symposium on teachings of revered Saint

JAMMU, Nov 06: Government College for Women Parade today organized an Intercollegiate Quiz Competition and Symposium on the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The event was the part of the celebrations being held by the college to commemorate the 550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, which commenced from November 4, 2019. Teams from Mahant Bachittar Singh (MBS) College of Engineering and Technology, GDC Bishnah, GDC Paloura, GCW Kathua, GDC Kathua Boys, GDC R.S Pura and the host college participated in the quiz competition. The first prize in the Quiz competition was bagged by MBS College, while the second and third prizes went to GDC Bishnah and GCW Parade, respectively. In another event an Inter-college Symposium on the theme "Relevance of the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji in the Modern World" was also organized in the college. Students from various colleges of Jammu province participated in the symposium enthusiastically. Sardar Rajinder Singh Ji, Retired ZEPO who was one of the jury members addressed the students. The first, second and third prizes were bagged by Anmol Sharma of GDC Bishnah, Jasmeet Kour GCW Parade, Skilva Mahotra of GCW Kathua, respectively.
