Early Times Report

JAMMU, Dec 3: Shri Ram Sena (SRS), Jammu and Kashmir, extended full support to Jammu Bandh call given by Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) for December 7. "We supports the Jammu Bandh call by JKNPP on December 7 over the total failure of the Central Government on all fronts and to fulfill the genuine issues of people", SRS President of J&K Rajiv Mahajan said in a statement issued on Tuesday. The JKNPP called for a 'Jammu Bandh' on December 7 to protest suspension of mobile Internet services following abrogation of Article 370 provisions and against setting up of toll plaza at Sarore on the Jammu-Pathankot highway. "The Shri Ram Sena has been raising these issues from time to time but Central Government has totally failed to respect the aspirations of Jammuites", he said. "SRS is committed to defending and promoting the cause of the people of Jammu province as such we have decided to support Bandh call", Rajiv Mahajan said while making an appeal to the general people especially traders, transporters and students organizations to participate in the peaceful Bandh on December 7 against the authoritarian moves of the government.
He said, "Jammu province has suffered neglect on an unprecedented scale during the past seven decades and the time has finally come for all, irrespective of their political and religious affiliation, to come forward and launch a united struggle against the anti-Jammu policies of the Central Government".
