Srinagar, Dec 18: Jammu and Kashmir's team lead by 253 runs on day 2 stumps after host Maharashtra team were bowled out on a score of 109 runs.
Coming to bat on day 2 on the overnight score of 51 runs for the loss of three wickets, half of Maharashtra's team was out on the score of 70 runs. While as rest of the five batsmen contributed just 39 runs as a team Maharashtra was bundled out for 109 runs giving tour team leas of 100 runs.
Umar Nazir was the pick of the bowlers, he took five wickets while conceding 30 runs in 13 over's and bowling four maidens. Mudhasir and Abid Mushtaq took two wickets each and Ram Dayal had one wicket in his bag.
Coming to bat in the second inning, openers failed again with Ahmad Banday falling on the score of 4 runs and one down batsman Shubham Khajuria lost his wicket on the score of 14 runs. Shubham Pundir captain was next to go on the score of 3 runs.
It was the partnership of 105 runs between Fazil Rashid wicketkeeper and Suryansh Raina that kept the scoreboard ticking and Jammu and Kashmir maintained the lead. Fazil scored 43 runs before adjudging LBW by Mukesh.
On day 2 stumps, Abdul Samad and Suryansh Raina were still on the crease with Raina not out on 79 runs. For host Maharashtra Anupam took two wickets, Mukesh and Digvijay took one wicket each.
Earlier Maharashtra won the toss on day 1 and opted to bowl first. J&K team was bowled out on the score of 209, while the host ended the day with three wickets down on 51 runs. Ahmed Banday was the highest scorer for Jammu and Kashmir in the first inning with a score of 76 runs.
