DIC organises two days workshop on ease of doing business

JAMMU, Dec 18: District Industries Centre, Jammu today organized two days workshop cum technical session to impart training the staff of DIC regarding ease of doing business and ensuring facilitation of the industrial sector.
While speaking on the occasion, General Manager DIC Jammu Namrita Dogra informed about the provisions of Industrial Policy, 2016, Industrial Development Scheme-2017 of Government of India and the various issues pertaining to GST, MSME Act, de-registration and change of constitution.
She said that IDS-2017 scheme of Department of Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Govt. of India covers all the manufacturing and service sector industries in the State. She further said that the service sector industry like hotels, hospitals etc which were earlier not covered under various schemes of the Department can now avail the benefit of Capital Investment Subsidy, Interest Subsidy and other benefits under IDS-17.
She informed that the department has started issuing registration certificates to industries through online portal of "UdyogJK.Com" and there is a need to adhere to the timelines regarding disposal of cases pertaining to registration, change of constitution, permission for substantial expansion, change in activity so that industries sector as a whole can be benefitted.
She directed the In-charge Facilitation Cell that all websites of inter related departments should be displayed at a prominent locations. She also directed all officers / officials of DIC Jammu to dispose the cases strictly as per the procedural guidelines framed by the department and their disposal should be in a time bound manner.
Functional Managers Pankaj Sassan, Pawan Goswami and Shahzada Noor Ul Ain besides staff members of the concerned department were present during the workshop.
