Holistic development of Peerkho Temple demanded

JAMMU, Dec 18: A meeting of prominent persons of Jammu was held today at Peerkho Temple under the chairmanship of Mahant Peer Ravi Nath Ji, in which Mahant Rajesh Bittu of Radha Madhav Trust R.S.Pura and Raman Suri General Secretary Tourism Federation were special invitees. And other prominent who were present were Suraj Prakash Shastri, Shashi Sharma, Karan Nath, Purshotam Lal Sharma and Manoj Sharma. Mahant Peerkho Temple, Peer Ravi Nath apprised the meeting that they met Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Culture; and Ministry of Tourism, Prahlad Singh Patel along with MP Jugal Kishore Sharma and apprised him about the holistic development of entire Peerkho Temple and areas adjoining it. Director Tourism Deepika Sharma and Mahant Rajesh Bittu were also present there. Mahant Ravi Nath apprised the visiting dignitaries that Peerkho temple has given land to tourism department, JMC, PHE and sports as was needed by concerned departments from time to time to carry out their respective activities. He said that temple authorities had always remained generous in donating land to the departments but expect development in return which though is going on but at a very slow pace. The meeting unanimously decided to invite Union Minister of State in PMO Dr Jitendra Singh to sort out issues of Peerkho Temple so that religious tourism in Jammu gets a fillip.
