Administrator conducts surprise inspection tour of Super Speciality Hospital

Jammu, Dec 18: Amit Sharma, Administrator, GMC & Associated Hospitals conducted a surprise inspection of the Government Super Speciality Hospital, Jammu today in which he conducted an extensive tour of all the floors and wards of the Super Speciality Hospital in the presence of Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr Deepak Kumar and other staff members. It is worthwhile to mention here that this is the third surprise visit of the Administrator Amit Sharma inside various wings of GMC and its Associated Hospitals including couple of surprise midnight inspections at Emergency of GMC and SMGS which got inspected by him since he took over this important assignment last week.
During the visit, Amit Sharma made lots of observations relating to the condition of sanitation, sanitary fittings, requisite civil repair works, guards and security in SSH, better arrangements in OPD especially Cardiology OPD wherein there was heavy rush of patients and HOD Dr Sushil Sharma during interaction mentioned few practical suggestions which were noted down by Deputy MS for implementation in near future as per directions of the Administrator.
Administrator Amit Sharma appreciated the level of cleanliness and hygiene maintained inside the Labs and Wards of SSH Jammu and personally interacted with lot of patients especially admitted in the Wards, ICU and CCU of the Hospital wherein they largely expressed satisfaction over the care being provided to them by the staff. He emphatically directed Technical Staff, Nurses, N.Os and Ward Attendants to perform their duties with total zeal and professionalism, treating all IPD and OPD patients with personal touch and excellent behaviour in future.
Before culminating the visit, Amit Sharma directed the Administration of the Super Speciality Hospital to prepare a white paper on today's tour and immediately take necessary measures to ensure efficient functioning relating to all issues pointed out in the visit so that the overall functioning of the GMC & Associated Hospitals can improve in a time-bound manner.
