| Industries, MC Samba violate NGT directives | | |

Samba, Dec 18: The Industries in Samba as well as Municipal Committee are continuously violating the directives issued by NGT by dumping wastes in the Basanter River.
The chemical industries are continuously discharging the pollutant wastes in Basanter. Munish Sharma Shiv Sena Hindustan said, however the NGT has imposed fine on the industries as well as MC Samba but the administration of District Samba is not serious as neither MC nor Gen. Manager IGC Samba is paying any heed to enacting the guidelines of NGT. Raj Kumar president Congress Sewa Dal said that the PCB officials are providing NOC to the Industrialists without visiting the spot under the influence corruption even the Industrialists have not installed the equipments for the prevention of pollution. He worried that the administration is non-serious regarding the life of surrounding area. He appealed to LG JK UT issue the directives to the authorities for enactment of guidelines of NGT & PCB for the prevention of Basanter River as the water of River is being used by the public for domestic as well as farming purposes. |
