Director Animal Husbandry Jammu conducts extensive tour of Rajouri

Rajouri, Dec 21: Director Animal Husbandry Jammu, Vivek Sharma today conducted an extensive tour of District Rajouri to review the progress of ongoing development work and overall functioning of the Department.
The Director was accompanied by Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Rajouri, Mohd Younis, Deputy Director Planning and other senior officers of the department.
While reviewing various schemes of the department like RGM, KCC, DEDS, PVCFS, NLM, she directed for generating awareness among the public with the active involvement of PRI's. She also reviewed the progress of various departmental activities and also the progress on implementation of NAIP and directed to gear up the progress and its uploading on portal. The officers of the Department were directed to involve the trained technician of MAITRI in the implementation of these schemes.
Later, she conducted an extensive tour of the sub-district Koteranka and met a delegation of PRI members. The PRI's apprised the Director regarding various issues and problems being faced by the public related to the animal Husbandry. She patiently listened to their demands and assured grievances redressal on time. She also visited Equine Breeding Farm-Badhoon, District Veterinary Hospital-Rajouri, Govt. Fodder Development Farm-Lam, Buffalo Breeding Farm-Rajal, and Government Poultry Farm-Sunderbani and reviewed the ongoing construction works in the district.
During her visit to Government Poultry Farm-Rajouri, she directed the CAHO-Rajouri for making the hatchery functional and running of associated poultry farm to supply poultry birds for backyard poultry units. She also reviewed the progress of Tribal Milk Village Argi.
