VIJAYPUR, Dec 21: Lashing out at the alleged anarchy being perpetrated by the contractor of Sarore Toll Plaza, the Congress said that local vehicles are again being charged taxes despite an exemption for the same was granted by the district Samba administration
Addressing a oppress conference here today, vice president of District Congress Committee, Samba Babal Gupta said that the NHAI and administration of District Samba decided that the vehicles registered with ARTO Samba will be exempted from toll tax after local people held protests against the charges.
But for the last 4-5 days the toll plaza owner have again started charging toll tax from the owners whose vehicles are registered with ARTO, Samba, he added. He said that it is nothing but "Gundagardi" and urged the administration as well as NHAI authorities to take legal action against the Toll Plaza contractor otherwise the people of District Samba shall be compelled to launch agitation and the administration as well as NHAI authorities shall be responsible for all the risk and losses. |
