Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 22: Criticizing the staged, managed and sponsored violent protests against Citizen Amendment Act across the country, "Vishwas, the-Trust" a Jammu based Volunteer organization working for welfare and upliftment of underprivileged class of people today urged the union government to identify the elements who are spearheading these violent protests and instigating students and other youth to take the law into their hands on the name of opposing CAA.
Munish Sharma, founder and managing trustee of the organization in an appeal to the youth and protesting students asked them to firstly, go through the Citizen Amendment Act properly and then debate on its merits and demerits and if even then they won't agree with the provisions of the act then take democratic and legal recourse to oppose it and do not resort to violence vandalizing public property including public transport and buildings.
Sharma also asked the government to interact with the peaceful protesters who are opposing the act and deal with iron hands with those who are not only opposing the act or the government but also challenging the writ of the state to create an atmosphere of lawlessness and anarchy in the country.
He also asked the leaders of opposition political parties to restrain from supporting the violent protesters because like the government they too have a moral and social duty to maintain law and order in the country and ensure peace to avoid loss of lives and property.
