| After gun shots heard in Kishtwar up town, security forces cordon area | | | Asif Iqbal Naik

Jammu, Dec 22: The security forces in Kishtwar District launched a massive cordon and Search Operation in up town area of Kishtwar town and its outskirts after few gun shots were heard from the area.
As per the details available with Early Times, Gun shots was heard in Semna colony area of Kishtwar falling under Ward No. 12 of Kishtwar Municipality. The area is highly fortified, guarded by CISF round the clock with having DC Kishtwar, SSP Kishtwar, NHPC officials residence in the area situated less than one KM from PS Kishtwar towards town area of Kishtwar. Speaking to Early Times, SSP Kishtwar Harmeet Singh Mehta confirmed the incident added that after hearing some gun shots in the area, police & security forces has cordon off the area added that it is premature to share any other information at this movement when operation is under way. Sources told Early Times that there is apprehension of presence of Hizb longest surviving militant Mohammad Amin Butt alias Jahangir Saroori in the area however added that there is nothing conclusive as of now that who had actually opened the fire in the area.
Meanwhile two police personals were injured in the firing identified by hospital sources as Ajay Kumar son of Dewan Chand R/o Thakrie (bullet just touch and passes away) and Mohammad Saleem Ghulam Hussain Shah R/o Dachhan recurved bullet in his left leg. The condition of both injured is stable |
