12/22/2019 10:12:33 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 22: The State Executive meeting of All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation (AJKLTF) under the aegis of Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh (ABRSM) was held at Jammu under the chairmanship of Sh Mahendra Kapoor Rashtriya Sangathan Mantri of ABRSM.
The State Executive meeting which was attended by all the State body members as well as Presidents and Secretary from all the Districts discussed on various current issues related to organisational planning, Education and teaching fraternity.
During the meeting, all members alleged that the teaching fraternity working in Jammu and Kashmir with odd circumstances but always betrayed, befooled and exploited for decades by the successive Governments. After Reorganization of J&K into UTs of J&K and Ladakh, the people in general and teaching fraternity in particulars have a lot of hopes from the Union Government.
They said that the teachers of J&K and Ladakh UTs are placed in lower pay scales than their counterparts of the Central Government. They said that the teachers placed in pay scale with grade pay of Rs 2800/whereas their counterparts paid Rs 4200/as grade pay.
Similarly Master grade paid Rs 4280/- whereas their counterparts paid Rs 4600/as grade pay in central Government. All the members unanimously decided to demand central pay scales for all cadres of teaching fraternity in the UTs of J&K and Ladakh. There is also discrimination in J&K Education in promotions also. Many Teachers/Masters promoted as -Incharge Lecturers/ -Incharge Headmasters /-Incharge Principals/ -Incharge ZEOs/-Incharge CEOs,etc in their own Pay and Grade but not regularised on these posts for many years. Now their charge allowance is also being stopped.
They also decided to present the Charter of Demands to the Lieutenant Governor and the Advisor very soon for early redressal of these issues.
Those who were present during the meeting were Dev Raj Thakur State President, Rattan Sharma State General Secretary, Darshan Bharti, Shiv Dev Singh, Neeraj Sharma, Kartar Chand, Radha Krishan, Satyabushan Sharma, Mohan Singh, Sanjay Singh, Parkash Chand, Manjeet Singh, Zorawar Singh, Raj Kumar, Dharam Singh, Puran Chand, Rishi Chauhan, Sanjay Kumar, and many others.
