| Awareness programme on CAA organized | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 22: An awareness programme on Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) was organized by Jammu East former MLA Rajesh Gupta.
The programme was organized for the Muslim community and to make them aware about the recently passed CAA. The speakers include former DyCM Kavinder Gupta, state general secretary BJP Dr Narinder Singh, Pardeep Dutta, Tajmul Hussain, Advocate Shehzad Malik, Adv Maninder Kapoor and Distt President BJP Viney Gupta threw light on finer points of the CAA.
Former DyCM Kavinder Gupta while speaking on the occasion said that CAA is in the interest of all those minorities who face religious persecution in the countries like Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh and has nothing to do with the citizens of India.
He said that opposition like Congress and leftists are spreading lies and canards against the act but the Muslim community has seen through their game plan.
General Secretary Narinder Singh said that India is the natural Homeland for the minorities of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh because they have nowhere else to go.
Sohail Kazmi and Pradeep Dutta also dwelt in detail about the finer nuances of the CAA Bill and said that the opposition that we witness in the streets of the country is stage managed and a certain section of intelligentsia. |
