Saurashtra defeats Jammu and Kashmir by 8 wickets

Srinagar, Dec 22: In a bowling heaven pitch, Saurashtra kept the nerves and outclassed Jammu and Kashmir in Under-19 Cooch Behar Trophy by 8 wickets at K.C. Sports Club, Jammu. The game ended in three days.
Saurashtra resumed the day on the score of 28 for the loss of one wicket, chasing down the score of 135 runs. Jay Gohil and Abhishek Nagvadiya kept the score ticking and had a partnership of 68 runs taking the game away from the hands of Jammu and Kashmir.
Team Saurashtra lost the only wicket in a run chase at the score of 96 runs in the shape of Abhishek Nagvadiya. Jay Gohil was the highest score getter for Saurashtra, he remained unbeaten on 70 runs. In his 70 runs match-winning performance, Gohil hit twelve 4's and two 6's.
For Jammu and Kashmir's team point of view, the bowling performance was poor despite restricting Saurashtra on the score of 95 in first inning.
Earlier, Jammu and Kashmir won the toss and opted to bat first on the pitch with a good response for bowlers. In the first inning, Jammu and Kashmir was bowled out under the score of 121 runs, however the bowlers of J&K bowled in good channels and restricted Saurashtra under the score of 95 runs.
Yawer Hassan scored highest 29 runs, in first innings and Neel Pandya took six wickets for the Saurashtra team.
However, Jammu and Kashmir teams failed to score big in second innings and were bowled out for 107 runs Dikshant Kundal scoring highest 23 runs, while Dev Dand outclassed the middle-order batsman of Jammu and Kashmir. Jammu and Kashmir is placed 5th in Elite Group C, with just one game won in four matches.
Scorecard; Saurashtra first innings 95, second innings 135 defeats Jammu and Kashmir first innings 121, second innings 135 by 8 wickets.
