POONCH, Dec 23: District Development Commissioner Rahul Yadav today convened a meeting to discuss the arrangements for the celebrations of Republic Day-2020.
It was informed in the meeting that the Republic Day Celebration will be held at Sports Stadium Poonch where the chief guest shall unfurl the National Flag and shall take salute of the March past consisting of Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP), JKAP, CRPF, NCC beside contingents of various educational institutions. Cultural items on the patriotic themes shall also be conducted.
Threadbare discussions were held regarding different necessary arrangements for the Republic Day celebrations which included security arrangements, parking of vehicles, uninterrupted power and drinking water supply, illumination of important monuments and buildings, sitting arrangements, arrangements for media gallery besides perfection in ground levelling of stadium.
Other important issues of sanitation, temporary toilets, barricading of VIP place, prize distribution and safe transportation were also discussed during the meeting.
DDC directed all the district and sectoral officers to put their best in completing the assigned duties and responsibilities to them for smooth and successful conduct of the National festival. |
