PYC Chief felicitates Judo players for bringing laurels to J&K

JAMMU, Dec 23: President J&K Pradesh Youth Congress (PYC), Uday Chib felicitated budding sports players who brought laurels to the Jammu and Kashmir.
During the programme held here, Uday honored Judo players namely Shehnaz Akhter 30 kg, Bhumika Chib 40 kg, Anekha Devi 45 kg and Adiba Choudhary 55kg who brought Gold Medals to the J&K by excelling in the National Championship while Fiza Zora 35 kg, Riya Devi 35 kg, Nazia Akhter 50 kg, Pooja Bali 52 kg and Mehak Mehra 52 kg bagged Silver Medals and those who secured Bronze medal included Sakshi Devi 40 kg, Dharmini Bandral 55 kg and Manisha Devi 44 kg. Besides, Surafbhan Singh Judo Coach, Vikas Gupta JFI Vice President, Ritika Salathia J&K Sports Council Judo Coach and Rameshwar Singh BSF judo Coach were also honoured for their contribution in bringing the medals.
Speaking on the occasion, Uday lauded their remarkable achievement and hoped that they would continue their winning spree with much more confidence and vigour.
"You have made all of us in Jammu and Kashmir proud by giving your best to the sport," Uday said, adding "Your success is a matter of great pride for all young budding sports players of J&K. It will serve as an inspiration to sports lovers as well as for the people of J&K. Your achievement is an example of what can be accomplished through hard work and dedication. I congratulate all of you and your coaches with the very best for your future endeavours and assures all support in shaping of your career."
Ranjyot Singh, In-charge Sports Cell, Youth Congress, J&K also extended best wishes to all the players and hoped that they will give his best in future and will become a role model for others.
Singh said the budding Judo players have set an example for youngsters to emulate by showing exemplary grit and determination, hoping that they will prove an inspiration for them. "Now, it is the duty of those sitting at the helm of sporting field to harness the energy of sportspersons in right perspective to achieve remarkable results and ensure that the sporting talent of J&K is streamlined and no one in this field feels disgusted or disappointed," he hoped.
