Jammu, Dec 24: Trainee of Sambyal Sports Club brought laurels to the club by winning 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze medals in 1st Jammu and Kashmir UT Sub-Junior, Cadet, Junior and Senior Karate Championship 2019 held with great enthusiasm at Gymnasium Hall, University of Jammu from December 20,2019 to December 22, 2019. The championship was organised by Amateur Karate Do Association of Jammu and Kashmir (AKAJK). Over 600 Karatekas from different districts of Jammu and Kashmir took part in the event. Shihan Ambedkar Gupta, General Secretary, Karate Association of India was the chief guest on the opening ceremony of the championship, who appreciated the work being done by the Association in the field of Karate. The trainee who got medals were Aayati Kohli (Gold), Anuva Sharma (Silver), Krishaang Malhotra (Bronze) and last but not the least Atharav Pathak. Though he (Atharav) could not make out the medal but his performance was highly appreciable. Parents showed their gratitude by saying that the trainee bagged the medals only under the guidance of the coach, Sahil Sambyal, General Secretary/ Technical Director, District Samba, Karate Association. |
