CBJ arrests 3 accused in fake work-visas case

JAMMU, Jan 1: Crime Branch Jammu (CBJ) has arrested three accused persons in a fake work-visas case in a raid conducted by it. The accused involved in the racket included Raj Kumar, son of Karan Sharma of Kullian Kamala Tehsil Ramgarh District Samba, Kailash and Vikas, both sons of Ajit Kumar, residents of Harsha Dabbar, Bishnah. The accused are involved in case FIR No 46/2019 U/S 420, 465, 467, 468, 471/RPC P/S Crime Branch, Jammu for luring the complainant on the pretext of providing work-visas for abroad and duping him of hard earned money.
The accused were not cooperating in the investigation of the case and were evading arrest since the registration of the case. However, after generation of intelligence input, teams of Crime Branch, Jammu laid traps and conducted raids with careful planning and arrested the accused from Bari Brahmana and Bishnah areas. The accused are presently on Police remand for further investigation of the case.
Complainant Sat Pal Sharma son of Makhan Lal of WNo 13 RS Pura Jammu had lodged a written complainant in Crime Branch, Jammu, alleging therein that the suspects were running the business of sending unemployed youth abroad on work-permit visa by luring the poor gullible people/ youth of lucrative schemes of getting employment in foreign countries and the complainant was also duped for work-visa in respect of his son in a similar way. After the allegations were prima-facie established during the course of Preliminary verification conducted by Crime Branch, Jammu, the instant case was registered under the relevant sections of law in the month of August, 2019.
