Jammu, Jan 1: Jammu Kashmir People's Forum organised a public meeting in support of the Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019 at Brahman Sabha Chowk, Parade, Jammu and all citizens from all walks of life are invited to support the Government in its endeavor to improve the condition of those who have taken shelter in our country facing religious persecution in Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
This will be an occasion to listen to various luminaries of different sects and shades on the said subject. All we know that this time all Anti-National forces and some political parties are spreading the misinformation campaign regarding Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019 in order to fulfill their evil designs ' and particularly they are spreading misconception among some communities regarding the provisions of the said amendment. Even the students are getting mislead and exploited to spread violence in some places by creating a misinformation campaign that Act aims to snatch/withdraw citizenship of some select citizens. Whereas, in reality this act has nothing to do with the citizen of India. This Act has been enacted to provide citizenship to all religiously persecuted minorities (Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi, Christian) of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan, who have taken refuge in India till 2014. In fact this Act has been enacted to provide citizenship and not to withdraw the citizenship of any citizen as is falsely being propagated by', antinational forces. |
