BJP Jammu West holds signature campaign in support of CAA

Jammu, Jan 1: BJP’s unit of Jammu West organized a massive Signature Campaign program in support of CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) in Ward 8 of Jammu West Assembly segment where many Hindu refugees from Pakistan also participated and people were also seen holding Cardboards in support of CAA.
Hundreds of locals participated and showed their enthusiasm and support in favor of CAA. Former Minister and Ex-MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) along with other senior functionaries of the party including District President Munish Khajuria, Corporator Dr Akshay Sharma, Mandal President Keshav Chopra, Ayodhya Gupta participated in the signature campaign.
Addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma said that hundreds participated in today’s signature campaign and showed their never ending support for CAA. He appealed to every section of the society "to exercise restraint and refuse to fall into the trap of propaganda, communalism and anarchism" spread by opposition parties including Congress in this country. He also stated that CAA does not changes the citizenship criteria of existing citizens and helps those people who were living as minorities in neighboring countries and were facing persecution.
Munish Khajuria said that BJP in next 14 days will organize similar programs in the Constituency which will focus directly on positive impacts of CAA and with the help of such programs, we will explain the real perspective of Central Government behind CAA.
Dr Akshay and Keshav appealed the participants to not to fall into the trap laid by opposition and everyone must believe the reality behind the Act framed by the Government.
Suresh Salgotra, Raman Sharma, Dr Surjeet Singh, Naveen Sharma, Vishal, Prithvi Duggal, Deepak, Amit, Satish, Rajesh, Bishan, Raghuveer and many others were also present.
