| J&K Forest Department holds passing out ceremony | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 9: Passing out Ceremony for Foresters and Forest Guards was held at Convention Center Jammu wherein 158 Foresters and Forest Guard trainees passed out after successfully completing their entry level training course. The Chief Secretary, Government of Jammu and Kashmir B.V.R Subrahmanyam was the Chief Guest and the Commissioner/Secretary to the Government, Department of Forests, Environment and Ecology Sarita Chauhan was the Guest of Honour on the occasion. The Passing out Ceremony started with ceremonial guard of honour to the Chief Guest by the Personals of Forest Protection Force. A ceremonial planting of a sapling in the premises of Convention centre was also carried out. The Chief Conservator of Forests, T. Rabi Kumar, extended the formal welcome to the guests. Irfan Ali Shah, Conservator of Forests, Working Plan Circle, presented the course report and declared the results of four batches of Foresters and Forest Guards trainees of Soil Conservation Training School Miran Sahib and Forest Guard Training School Doomi, Akhnoor. During the passing out ceremony, outstanding Foresters and Forest Guard Trainees were conferred with prizes and awards for their outstanding performance in Academics and extracurricular activities. |
