Work on Tagood- Vasdevna road kick starts

Kishtwar, Jan 9: The construction work on Tagood to Vasdevna road under CRF scheme today kick started in the presence of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar, Angrez Singh Rana by ribbon cutting here.
SDM Chatroo, Inderjeet Singh Parihar, XEN R&B Chatroo, Mohinder Kumar, XEN PMGSY, Jugal Kumar, BDO Mughal Maidan Sobia, BMO Chatroo Guljabeen Ara, besides concerned officers/officials, Sarpanches, Panches and locals remained present on the occasion.
It was informed that Tagood to Vasudevna road is having total length of 11 km which is going to be constructed at a estd. cost of Rs 20 cr under CRF Scheme and executed by PWD (R&B) Division Chatroo.
Speaking on the occassion, DDC Kishtwar congratualted the people of the area and stated that the said road will provide benefit to the commutters and further added that the govt. is committed to provide better road connectivity in the villages.
He urged all people to work together for the development of area and asked them to cooperate with administration with participatory and pro active approach.
Meanwhile, the locals of the area apprised DDC about several grievances/ problems faced by them, DDC gave a patient hearing with regard to the genuine demands and stressed on prompt delivery of services including uninterrupted power supply, drinking water facilities and better health services to the public.
He asked the farmers to adopt modern techniques and come forward in the field of Horticulture, mushroom cultivation, apiculture, shawl and blanket making, poultry sectors for doubling their income as this area istremendous scope of farming and allied sectors.
He directed the concerned patwari to complete all the pending mutations at an earliest besides directed to ensure their stationing two days in a week at Patwar Khana for deliverance of services as per Public Service Guarantee Act.
He further awared the locals about various welfare schemes and urged them to avail benefits of such schemes besides asked them to make use of drop box for their suggestions/ grievances.
