| Move beyond Art 370, equal funds, equal jobs for Jammu UT: Citizen's Forum | | |

Jammu, Jan 9: Citizen's Forum has urged Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and LT Governor G.C Murmu to move beyond the Article 370 and provide much needed development projects for Jammu. The forum has demanded equal funds and equal jobs in coming budget for people of Jammu and Kashmir newly formed Union Territory.
R K Chadha the president of the Citizen Forum said that the Prime Minister had promised an equal treatment and development for the Jammu region at the time of abrogation of Article 370 but because of prevailing conditions on the border and Kashmir area Jammu has suffered equally bad as a whole and need equal development.
He added that thus equal funds and equal jobs for both the UTs are the demands of the day because Jammu was never given its due share in funds and developments by any previous governments.
People of Jammu are satisfied with the present working governments as at least some projects have been initiated and some big projects require sufficient funds to start with. Equal funds and equal jobs with help to Industry and Trade can change the working condition of the J&K Union Territory. |
