Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 9: Adv. Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor called a meeting of the Bazar Associations along with Dr. Suresh Gupta, Health Officer JMC, Arun Gupta XEN(T), Laxman Singh Jamwal XEN (E), Ashok Sharma AEE(T). Representatives of the Bazar Associations while addressing Adv. Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation, presented their charter of demands and requested her to redress the problems faced by the business fraternity. The Deputy Mayor assured them that their genuine demands and problems will be redressed at the earliest and the directions in this regard was issued to the concerned officer’s on the spot. The charter of demands includes the following main points including sanitation, Sulabh Sochalayas at Gumat, Vivekanad Chowk, Kanji House, Lower Hari Market were in degraded condition and they need to be maintained at th earliest. Also there is no caretaker room in the sulabh Sochalaya. Deputy Mayor directed the Health Officer JMC and Ex. Engineer (T) to get all the Sochalayas properly maintained. Encroachment is the another big issue of the city. Bazar Association demanded for the removal of illegal rehris, phadis, Khokhas and the vehicles outside workshops at Gumatt Bazaar causing problem to the locals. In this regard, Adv. Purnima Sharma directed the Enforcement officer to take surprise anti encroachment drives on alternative days.
