JAMMU, Jan 11: In a much publicized kidnapping case of Dr Rubaiya Sayeed daughter of Ex CM Mufti Mohd Sayeed and killing of Air Force personnel, Presiding Officer Subash C Gupta TADA Court today again adjourned the case as Showkat Baskhi was not produced by the authorities.
It is worthwhile to mention here that both the cases are on the stage of charge/discharge for the last 30 years on one pretext or the other.
While adjourning the case, Court observed that respective jails authorities are directed to produce the accused -Yasin Malik and Shoukat Ahmed Bakshi, preferably personally if not possible for security or other reason through video conferencing on next date of hearing, positivity, failing which, they have to explain, in this regard. Be it noted that jail authorities have been informed about the next date of hearing, at the end of proceedings held today through video conference and fixed February 3, 2020 for hearing. JNF |
