Rasool scores 171, J&K ends day on 338 for 7 wickets

JAMMU, Jan 11: After remaining out of the Ranji Matches for four matches, Parvez Rasool scored 171 runs on the first day against the Services at Air force Complex ground, Palam, New Delhi Services on Saturday as Jammu and Kashmir scored 338 for the loss of seven wickets.
Services which won the toss opted to field first with Jammu and Kashmir lost the opening wicket on the score of 2 runs. Suryansh Raina was first to perish, he fell to Sachidanand Pandey. Shubham Singh Pundir could not add much runs to the score tally as his wicket was taken by P S Poonia.
Henan Nazir scored 22 runs in 61 balls and had a little partnership with Shubham Khajuria. Shubham Khajuria scored 55 runs in 175 balls. Captain Parvez Rasool and Shubham Khajuria had a partnership of 150 runs before Khajuria’s wicket fell on the score of 211 runs.
Parveez Rasool hit ball all over the ground, in his score of 171 runs, he hit 23 boundaries and two 6’s. He is still on the crease. Last matches centurion Abdul Samad managed only 4 runs as he bowled by P S Poonia.
Auqib Nabi too had a partnership with Captain Rasool as he scored 30 runs in 44 balls and bowler Abid Mushtaq who is still on the crease is on 27 runs. Fazil Rashid wicket keeper failed yet again. In the meantime, Services conceded 18 extras.
For services P S Poonia took three wickets conceding 99 runs in 27 over’s. Diwesh Gurdev Pathania and Sachidanand Pandey both took two wickets each.
