APS organizes ‘Scholastic Book Fair’

Jammu, Jan 11: Scholastic Book Fair was organized by Army Public School Damana with great fervor and delight in the School premises from 9 to 11 January.
The Book Fair was organized in collaboration with ‘Scholastics’-the World’s Largest Publishers and Distributor of Children’s Books. The event was inaugurated by Brig KK Singh, Chairman of the School along with Pushpinder Kaur, Principal APS Damana.
The Book Fair was envisioned with the theme ‘Books are our Best Friends‘to promote the reading habits amongst the students. After the inauguration of the event, students and teachers thronged the venue to browse the variety of books based on their hobbies, books on literature, mental quest, puzzles, games, activity packs and many more which were displayed for the students of all age groups.
The Book Fair received a short in its arm on the last day when a large number of parents visited there. The parents were highly impressed and expressed their satisfaction on the part of the School Management for organizing such events in the School which will go a long way in the success of the children.
The Chief Guest commended the laudable efforts of the School for organizing such a festive event wherein the students could discover their books of self-interest and ignite their passion for reading. The opportunity to browse books of so many varieties and in a large number was a wonderful experience for the parents and the children.
