JKOPA elects new body

Jammu, Jan 12: J&K Offset Printers Association (JKOPA) elected its new office bearers for the period of 2020-2022, during its 10th Annual General Body Meeting held at hotel Asia Jammu on today.
The members were elected unanimously in absence of any nomination for the office bearers. The new team elected unanimously comprises Sudesh Kumar Gupta (President), Sharat Sharma (Senior Vice President) Rahul Mahajan (Vice President) Avnish Anand (Gen. Secy.) Rajnish Koushal (Secretary) Satish Raina (Finance Secy.) and Kuku Ji Bhan (Joint Secretary). The election was conducted in cordial atmosphere by Satish Jandiyal, returning officer of election committee, JKOPA.
Sudesh Kumar Gupta , while welcoming the members & guests, highlights the activities of the association besides listing the problems being faces by the printers U.T of Jammu & Kashmir that Govt. has ordered that all printing work of Govt. Department should be done by Govt. Press, thereby denying work to the local printers which they were doing for the last so many years at the lesser rates than what were charged by the Govt. Press.
He assured the printers to make sincere efforts by presenting our case in front of the concerned authorities. He also enlightened the members about the various activities of the Association.
